Dolomites: Grown out of the sea 200 million years ago. Today, the Dolomites are the preferred destination for people looking for recreation, for hikers, mountaineers, climbers and other lovers of high peaks.
Round tour of the Dolomites
Most impressing on this tour is the variety of landscapes…
like in a photo album, or even better "for the photo album": through the upper Puster Valley, past the Haunold Mountains, the world-renowned Three Peaks, the Monte Cristallo and on to the Olympic city of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
On this classic route you will drive over 5 Dolomite mountain passes, past about 24 mountains of 3,000 metres of height, amongst which the Marmolada Mountain, the queen of the Dolomites, you will admire the frontiers of World War I with the hard fought peaks of the Monte Piano mountain, and you will experience the most impressive sceneries (about 150 km).
The passes: Falzarego Pass, Pordoi Pass, Campolongo Pass, Sella Pass, Gardena Pass.
