Many visitors agree that the finest Christmas markets are located in South Tyrol. Indeed, during the holiday season Christmas markets truly transform South Tyrol’s villages and cities into something out of a fairytale.
The scent of freshly baked cookies and apple strudel hangs in the air, market stalls with traditional, handcrafted South Tyrolean products and handmade Christmas tree decorations invite visitors to stroll around. Warm up with a delicious mulled wine or fruity punch. There are five original South Tyrolean Christmas markets in Bolzano/Bozen, Merano/Meran, Bressanone/Brixen, Vipiteno/Sterzing, and Brunico/Bruneck.
